There's a tonne of great stuff on offer at Nozstock: The Hidden Valley, with its 15 stages of everything from world class DJs to intimate acoustic sets soundtracking a sublime return to Bromyard's Rowden Paddocks on Friday July 24th.
What's more, the 5000 attendees heading the Herefordshire spectacular this year are going to be treated to perhaps its most impressive line up yet, with the likes of Wu-Tang Clan, Fuse ODG and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas at the top of the line up. We've looked beyond them though, and dug out five acts that you need to see at Nozstock.
One of the most exciting producers in UK hip hop, Klashnekoff's superior beats and rapid fire, lyrical flow are pretty much unmatched in this country. Whilst grime may seem to be the genre on everyone's lips this year, it's artists like Klashnekoff that show us we've got a whole load to be proud of on the hip hop front too. Check out the sublime 'All I Got' above.
There's no shortage of drum & bass at Nozstock this year, with DJ Hype, Ed Rush, and Metrik amongst the wielders of bass heavy exploits.
But for us, London Elektricty stands out as the most essential. Now entering his 16th year in the business, the Hospital Records mainstay can easily switch up between modern, euphoric sounds of the genre as well as a more classic, darker edge, making for one hell of a ride.
A favourite on the festival circuit for quite some time - Beans on Toasts' insightful, sometimes politically charged lyrics delivered with a laid back, comical tone are a hit wherever he plays. Check out 'Things' above to get a feel for the gravel-toned, folk sound of Beans on Toast.
A true don of jungle, Congo Natty's fairly recent return to his craft has seen him pick up where he left off, using fresh production styles with his authentic old skool know how. Expect a riotous set with Natty at the helm, as seen above.
A stunning blend of beatboxing, technical wizardry and comedy, Beardyman is an outstanding entertainer, and perhaps the act we're most excited about seeing.
Ranging between blues, drum & bass, folk and just about everything else, Beardyman draws the humorous from every genre under the sun, and delivers it with serious lashings of skill and charisma. Check out his appearance in the Comedy Lounge to see why we rate him so highly.
