Launched in 2015, Citadel Festival has never struggled to bring the biggest names in music to London for a glorious all day affair that is proud of its boutique ethos and offers a unique festival experience. Past performers include the likes of Sigor Ros, Ben Howard and Bombay Bicycle Club and this year looks set to be a triumph too with heaps more big name acts announced on the Citadel line up.
Coming to Victoria Park on Sunday 17th July is not just an immense musical billing but plenty of other attractions too, including 'The Science Camp' with talks that include 'The Scientific Secrets of Doctor Who' and 'Is There Alien Life in Our Galaxy?', drop in art workshops and broadsheets brought to life with 'Sunday Papers Live'.
If that wasn't enough, there's also yoga classes, children's activities and much more. It's our job to focus solely on the music hwoever, so here are the five acts we're tipping to deliver at Citadel 2017.
2 Bad Mice

In amongst the forward thinking music, Citadel boasts a real delight in nostalgia with rave legends 2 Bad Mice bringing the breakbeat brilliance as part of the Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave.
The brains behind anthem 'Bombscare' and seminal record label Moving Shadow, rest assured their set will be a flurry of instantly recognisable classic the whole family can enjoy.
Jimmy Coultas
Bombino

The mesmerising music of the Tuareg tribe is where Bombino draws his groove from, the entrancing guitar and soft vocals of his nomadic people beautifully delivered through his sublime musicianship. The Tuaregs have been blighted by conflict but Bombino sings about peace, fusing his ancestral sounds with a modern energy.

Foals

It would be wrong of us not to give special mention to the festival's headline act, but the Oxford five piece appear in this list on merit alone. Over the course of five rip roaring records, Foals have exhibited math rock, indie bangers and thumping, bluesy numbers that have resulted in a set list to die for.
Their most recent studio release What Went Down propelled the group even further into main stage commanding status, and they delivered a rip-roaring show as the sun set on The Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury last year ahead of Muse's headline slot. Topping the bill themselves this time at Citadel, expect Yannis and co to well and truly blow you away.
Henry Lewis
RY X

The Ozzie singer-songwriter was the first artist signed to the Stockholm-based label Dumont Dumont and delivered debut album Dawn last year, which perfectly exhibited his delicate vocals, elegantly finger picked guitar and an ethereal ambiance.
The combination of natural surroundings, beautiful weather and a RY X's tenderness seems like a winning formula so you'd be a fool to miss his main stage slot in the capital.

Felix Dickinson
No stranger to the world's most illustrious raving spots such as Panorama Bar, DC10, fabric and Glastonbury's Block 9, Felix Dickinson has been a key part of underground dance scene for the past three decades. His sets are brimming with mesmerising acid jams, euphoric piano anthems and sophisticated funk cuts, the ideal soundtrack for a day in Victoria Park.
