If you're looking to squeeze more out of your festival experience then Belladrum has it all; vintage markets, sidesplitting comedy right on through to a firewalk (if you're looking to cement heroic status amongst your fellow campers), but we've delved straight into the festival's Tartan Heart and cherry picked our five must see acts from Scotland's favourite family orientated festival set in the breathtaking Scottish highlands.
Adding some dazzle to the festival is Welsh maverick Tom Jones - the star possesses enough chart smashes to keep the festival crowd hooked for hours on end. Whether it's the powerful charm of 'She's A Lady' (below) or infectious lyrics of 'What's New Pussycat' ringing out across the highlands, the knighted chief is sure to unleash a 'Sex Bomb' on the adorning festival crowd.
With something for the ladies already firmly in place, we thought we'd tailor something more towards the festival youth, and that comes from the Little Comets.
The kitchen sink indie band herald a backlog of catchy tunes with an invariable buzz, stemming from their incredibly upbeat guitar and infectious Geordie vocal that keeps audiences on a high throughout their indomitable sets, a feature perfectly encompassed in their 'Dancing Song' below.
Reverting back to the top of the packed out bill, a name that will shine out to many is indie rockers Razorlight. The band's last appearance in Scotland came at Rockness where they absolutely smashed it and they'll undoubtedly do the same at Bella. Their most revered hits 'America' closely followed by 'In The Morning' (below) resonate that festival vibe, ironically ensuring that you will remember a thing in the morning from a nailed on stellar performance.
Now it's not very often that Grandmaster Flash comes to town, so obviously we had to include him in our top five. The hip hop and funk master, notorious for his alliance with the Furious Five rap group is one of the original dance floor innovators, setting audiences alight with his discerning DJ sets that flurry between funk and soul classics to straight up hip hop which will almost certainly feature hits like 'The Message'.
Rounding up our feature picks is someone whose acoustic talents carry the beauty of the Scottish highlands, making him a perfect pick for this festival . The politically motivated folk music from Billy Bragg is well received by many, bearing the intimacy and ambience that is craved in the midst of a smaller stage setting.
