The Secret Garden Party, located in an achingly picturesque part of Cambridgshire is a festival that breathes creativity, colour and mystery, whilst hosting a formidable line up of top musicians, artists and DJs at the same time.
Set in ten acres of landscaped garden, bordering a river and with a (swim-able) lake right in the centre of it, the festival is one of the prettiest in the UK, and its interactive art installations, obscure ceremonies and numerous hidden gems dotted around the site play on your adventurous and curious side, keeping you busy all weekend.
Then there's the little matter of all the artists on the line up, which this year includes the likes of DJ Shadow, Air and Maribou State as headliners. With something like 20 stages to get lost in, there's an abundance of options across the site (the full Secret Garden Party line up shows this). Oh and glitter. Glitter everywhere.
Ahead of it all we've combed through the extensive line up to offer you five acts that we believe will steal the show at SGP this year.
Dan Snaith's musical prowess is alluring whatever moniker he takes up, be it his techno assaults as Daphni or the brilliance of Caribou; the exhilarating medium which has been such a prominent part of our recent musical make up.
Whilst 2010 opus Swim remains his finest and most prominent work, the catalogue that preceded it is equally brilliant - as his most recent release (read our review of Our Love). The lead single off the latter 'Can't Do Without You' is also tailor built for those hug laden festival moments of sheer euphoria - no doubt sounding even better surrounded by your mates and glitter at SGP.

Having featured on some of the best forward-thinking labels in dance music since his arrival, Throwing Snow has relentlessly evolved his sound into something both primed for dancing and clever enough to get your mind fizzing with delight.
For proof just listen to 'Lumen' from his last EP - glorious, AFX indebted warped synths wax and wane over futuristic, broken beats in a trippy but euphoric five minute banger. In the otherworldly surroundings of Secret Garden Party, Throwing Snow's set could well be a supernatural experience.

There was something deliciously 90s about the smokey sounds of Submotion Orchestra when they first emerged, the jazzy textures and warbling electronic undercurrents owing much to the bar grooves scene that ran concurrent with clubland during the era with a clear influence from the likes of Kruder & Dorfmeister - much more than the dubstep as a band description they were lazily given.
They're far from a throwback group though, with Colour Theory released earlier this year showcasing a sophisticated evolution that focused more of the production nous than solely relying on Ruby Wood's beguiling vocals. Still it worked better when she was fronting them; '#Red Dress' excellent proof of that.

One of the quiet success stories of the past few years, Teleman spin super quirky indie pop that breezes through your ear. They released their second album Brilliant Sanity back in Spring, an entirely upbeat stomp that's impossible not to like.
Formed out of the ashes of art-pop group Pete and The Pirates between two brothers, the band now map out with four members peddling a sweet blend of guitar and synth. More than enough reason for a Secret Garden Party jive, Teleman are your go-to outfit to enhance your festival experience.

Widely regarded as one of this generation's most revered selectors, Glasgow's Jack Revill is the ultimate party DJ. He's one of a handful of major DJs that has made it purely on his DJing ability rather than as a producer, tearing up parties from San Francisco to San Antonio and playing a vast array of genres ranging from Detroit electro to hypnotic tech house.
His recent essential mix from Parklife back to back with Armand Van Helden (above) is emblematic of just how much hedonistic fun he brings to festivals - SGP will be no different.
