As far as eclectic line ups go, Highest Point is certainly up there. With some of the music industry's most respected artists from across the genres expected to take over Ashton Memorial in Lancaster, Highest Point genuinely has something for everyone.
From revered drum n bass brands and dance music hot property to massive indie legends, from established acts to emerging talent, and pretty much everything in between, the festival is sure to set a new precedent for events in the area. Throw in to the mix free family fun during the day and all bases really are covered.
To help you decide on where to be and when, we've narrowed down some of the artists that we'll be sure to catch between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th May. Make sure to check out the full Highest Point Festival line up.
Eclair Fifi
Find Eclair Fifi tickets
NTS Radio regular Eclair Fifi is just as comfortable with Italo as she is Latin, bouncing between house, techno and hip-hop, the Edinburgh-raised DJ is compellingly unpredictable behind the decks.
Known for her BBC Radio One show as part of In New DJs We Trust, Eclair Fifi also held down a sensational LuckyMe residency at Rinse FM. Joining Jackmaster and Jasper James on Friday at Highest Point on The Dell stage, expect non-stop party sets from three of the scene's best genre-traversing DJs.
Becca Frankland
Strange Bones
One of the north west's most promising bands, Strange Bones consist of three brothers and one best mate. Brought up on a solid diet of punk, the lads started their first band at the age of 9 in Blackpool after going to gigs with their parents, seeing the likes of UK Subs, GBH and Sham 69 as they grew up.
Since then, they've become part of the region's burgeoning scene, with Mossley's Cabbage the most comparable of their peers in attitude. Strange Bones' ferocious live show is a sight to behold and one that should 100% be on your list for the weekender.

The 2 Bears
Find The 2 Bears tickets
Saturday night sees a performance from 90s house revivalists The 2 Bears. Born from a mutual love of dance music in all it's glorious forms, Joe Goddard (of Hot Chip fame) and Raf Rundell got together in 2009, donned a pair of bear suits and started making music.
They may have ditched their costumes of late but the atmosphere at their show is equally as warm and fuzzy, a serotonin fuelled journey, captivatingly shifting between genres, with nods to everything from afrobeat to classic house. If past shows are anything to go by, expect dressing up - and lots of it.

Ocean Colour Scene
Find Ocean Colour Scene tickets
The Britpop legends have a setlist to rival any of their 90s peers, with an armoury of big riffs and anthemic chourses in their locker that have seen them through over 20 years of headline slots - and this will one will be just as special.
The Brummie rockers top the bill on the Saturday night at Highest Point, following the likes of Embrace and Cast on the main stage at the Lancaster festival - and with the likes of 'The Riverboat Song', 'The Day We Caught The Train', 'Hundred Mile High City' and plenty more are set to bring the house down in spectacular fashion.

Crazy P
Find Crazy P tickets
Mancunian disco darlings Crazy P remain one of the most joyous ensembles in dance music, the Balearic five-piece dominating dancefloors since they first emerged as deep house doyens back in 1996.
Since then they've toured as a live band and released a slew of albums, but it's their Soundsystem incarnation which remains the most alluring, Ron Basejam's killer DJ talent alongside Danielle Moore's sultry vocals. There are few better ways to see the weekend out.
