Merging extreme snowsports with top class DJs and live acts, Groove Cairngorm is a genuinely unique festival experience. Situated within the stunning Aviemore mountain range in Scotland, two stages will host acts during the day time before the Badaguish Outdoor Centre plays host to apres ski raves. The sub zero celebration of all things electronic will take place between Friday 24th and Sunday 26th February, and ahead of the frozen fun we've picked our top five acts from the Groove Gairngorm 2017 line up.
Mike Skinner (DJ set)

He might not be going under that moniker anymore but Skinner's DJ sets are still a sight to behold. His endless effervescence, coupled with his distinctive patter, adds massively to the filthy beats he spins. DJing is what Skinner does now and, like his work with the Streets, is meticulously compiled, bringing the best of bass to his unforgettable sets. Along with Murkage Dave, The Streets man has created the Tonga clubnight which has gone on to be a massive success in its right, proving that whatever he turns his hand to, he doesn't mess about.
Henry Lewis
Hunter & the Bear

There are few things as well lauded on Scottish soil as homegrown talent, and gutsy folk rocker Hunter & the Bear fall into that category. The quartet make the kind of powerful sing-along sounds that make so much sense during the hedonistic abyss of a festival, and with their debut due in 2017 this might be the last time to catch the group up close and personal.
Jimmy Coultas
Horse Meat Disco
It's scientifically proven that you can't hear a Horse Meat Disco DJ set and not grin. For over a decade the gay-friendly clubnight has led the charge for disco being accepted within clubland, everything from the string-laden masterpieces of the seventies to the more modern sounding edit scene being championed at their DJ sets and parties.
As such it makes for the perfect aural accompaniment to festivals, a guaranteed mixture of forgotten classic, unheard rarities and wailing divas soundtracking your snow sprees.
JC
Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club
Craig Charles has become a guru for all things groovy since his BBC Radio 6 Music show took flight almost 15 years ago. In the wake of its resounding success, the actor and TV presenter has gone on to take his funk and soul club up and down the country with high octane sets brimming with boogie numbers.
Charles' infectious personality goes a long way when he steps behind the decks and his encyclopaedic knowledge of the genre makes for seamless mixes and hours of moving and grooving
HL
The 2 Bears
Consisting of Joe Goddard (Hot Chip) and Raf Rundell, these chunky house lovers are masters at delivering party sets with substance. As skillful in the studio as they are commanding a dancefloor, this duo are always well equipped with alternative dance anthems and some of their own stellar productions.
