Returning to Henham Park once again this summer, Latitude looks set to deliver an eclectic selection of live acts and DJs, with a particularly specular and diverse trio of headliners that sit above a lengthy line up.
The 12 edition of the event continues on the uber clean, eco-friendly ethos that brings the festival experience right back to its roots, with perks that feature swimming in the site's lake, as well as enjoying theatre, cabaret, dance and literature.
The festival truly is an all rounder, and once you've torn yourself away from its multiple attractions there's the rather large matter of the Latitude Festival 2017 line up to get your mouth watering.
Mumford & Sons are in line for a massive headline slot on the Saturday night of the festival, while there's also tantalising sets from the likes of Glass Animals, The Horrors, and heaps more.
Those acts don't even scratch the surface of the absolute plethora of talent that's coming to Latitude between Thursday 13th and Sunday 16th July, however we've done our damnedest to select five acts coming to the festival who are simply unmissable.
Fleet Foxes

The Seattle indie folk outfit have some absolutely incredible songs in their back catalogue, with their eponymous 2008 debut ranked as one of finest records that year on account of its delicious harmonies and all American feel. With latest release Crack-Up now a huge part of their repertoire, the group look set to unleash an all-conquering set come their visit to Latitude, which will mark their first UK appearance in over six years. This will be special.

The band name might get knowing sniggers from some of the less salubrious members of our society, but Portishead don Geoff Barrow's latest project have been earning their stripes down to their strict rule that their music must be "recorded live in one room with no overdubs or repair".
Latest record 'Sex music' is a glorious lo-fi monster with whispered vocals, like the Beta Band re-recording the Drive soundtrack. The trio headline the Sunrise Arena on Friday.
Jimmy Coultas
Katherine Jenkins

Bear with us here, the Welsh songstress' debut at the festival sees her appear as a special guest for a stunning lakeside performance. Taking to the Waterfront Stage on the final day of Latitude, the mezzo soprano will deliver a variety of hits from a career that has seen her named as the most successful artist in UK Classical chart history. Imagine relaxing by the lake, beverage in hand with Jenkins' dulcet tones ring in the air and peak festival relaxation has been achieved. After a weekend of partying, it might be exactly what you need.
HL
Minke
The mysterious Minke brings up very little on a Google search, surprising seeing as her debut single 'Gold Angel' has amassed nearly three and a half million listens on Spotify alone. Her second offering, 'Armor', layers sweet pop vocals over lo-fi synths and bold guitar solos to create a potential-filled alt-soul sound. Catch her on the DIY Presents stage on the Saturday.
Amelia Ward
Formation

South London five-piece Formation grace the BBC Music Stage on the Friday of Latitude. Drawing comparisons with early 00s electronic indie bands such as LCD Soundsystem would be an easy mistake to make; Formation go further into both genres. Fusing disco beats and soul pop hooks, they're perfect act to ease you into the weekend.
