Into it's third year, Cambridge festival Strawberries and Creem will once again celebrate all things bass, hip-hop and grime on Saturday 11th June. The likes of Grandmaster Flash and Skepta featured last year and the 2016 line up follows suit, meaning all that's needed is some sunny weather to really bring this festival to fruition.

We've hand-picked our favourites from this year's line up to give you our top five must see acts.

Madam X

This Manchester native has become a vital part of the city's underground clubbing scene, utilising her ear for music to showcase grime, bass, techno and garage to those thirsty for it. Her talent led to a series of BBC 1Xtra residency shows, and she even covered for Diplo back in 2014. Now a staple part of festivals, Madam X's reach is much further than the confines of her northern hometown.

Becca Frankland

Kano

The East Ham MC released his fourth album Made In The Manor earlier this year which bagged him his first top ten placing since 2007's London Town. Featuring the likes of Giggs and JME the album was an honest and insightful affair and will doubtless feature heavily in his set. With tunes like 'Nite Nite' and 'P's and Q's' also in his locker Kano's special guest  appearance will be one of the evening's highlights.

Big Narstie

Grime's crossover to the mainstream has been championed by a cluster of influential and charismatic artists, and Big Narstie is one of those key players. The MC's larger than life personality and genuine talent has secured him a loyal fanbase, one that was extended dramatically by his collaboration with Craig David earlier this year. He's also a Skiddle favourite, having appeared on our bus and on our Charlie Hedges podcast.

Nelly

If you're in any dilemma as to who you should watch at Strawberries and Creem then you should look no further than Nelly. The rapper penned some of the most memorable r'n'b jams of the 2000's and will be a pure nostalgia trip.

The likes of 'Over and Over', 'Ride Wit Me' and the record that made his name, 'Country Grammar' (above), will go down a treat when Nelly headlines the main stage, and if the sun does decide to shine then expect 'Hot In Herre' to be a sweaty affair.

HL

David Rodigan

If you haven't seen Rodigan live, a festival is the ultimate place to get involved. His mash up of reggae gems, bass bangers and classic tracks is best suited to cheering outside with a group of your mates. A musical legend in the truest sense, the Ram Jam leader is still one of the standout additions to any line up. Get ready for an education.
