Biography
Like Spinning consists of both Norwegian and English members, based around singer/songwriter Kari Jahnsen. The band is based in London, and have recently played Communion's monthly night in Bristol, London venues like The Slaughtered Lamb, Hoxton Underbelly and Strongroom Bar, in addition to being played on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Like Spinning is influenced by Diane Cluck, Fleet Foxes, Joanna Newsom, Bon Iver, Midlake and Warpaint. They have released Like Spinning EP, and recently released the double single Forces / My Window, which you can hear on their websitewww.likespinning.com

These boys dont have too much to say about themselves and would rather let their music do the talking and what music it is!!! These fellas really know there craft and are mesmerizing live! Its Modern, foot-stomping music inspired by traditional folk styles and they draw influences from the likes of Lau, Shooglenifty, The Old Dance School, Bellowhead, Martin Carthy, Nick Jones.

With music that breaks the boundaries of folk, world music, and all kinds of modern styles to create a totally original sound, Jipsy is a new idea. At the centre of it is the songwriting and arranging of Sarah Ann Boughton whose nomadic influences take Jipsys music on a constant journey though many different styles.
