The latest, inspiring, dining experience to launch in Manchester is Steak & Lobster at Alto. The new concept: no menu, just a simple choice between the eponymous mains.
Choose a 10oz rib eye steak or a lobster served whole. Both are served with garlic and chive butter, unlimited (yes that's right!) french fries and unlimited (right again!) side salad. Select either option for only £15.
Naturally we opted for both the lobster and the steak. The food order was taken quickly by the very efficient and professional waiting staff and the drinks and meals arrived swiftly. The steak was perfect. The lobster was beautiful.
The alcohol is reasonly priced and they very kindly suggested certain wines in their food menu to go with each of the dishes which is always great for the uneducated wine lover - Skiddle holds our hands up on that count.
It's the perfect setting for business lunches, the city centre shopper or for those dining with friends. Open midday to 10.30pm you can dine here all day long, with many places to sit inside and a selection of tables outside too which was a perfect spot for our meal on this glorious day.
We liked the simple choice - you choose a meal from two options and are able to upgrade with snacks and desserts if you wish too. The wine is superb, the staff are professional, efficient and friendly and you're able to enjoy the views through the floor-to-ceiling windows and soak up the informal, understated atmosphere whilst enjoying great quality food.
You're able to book a table at Steak and Lobster at ALTO through our Restaurant Booking system here. Alternatively you can search for a restaurant in any city in the Skiddle Restaurant Guide.
