Returning to the Black Swan on February 13th is For The Love of Dub, with a spectacular Valentine's Day shown celebrating the glorious sounds of roots reggae, dub, hip hop and drum and bass. As is well documented, Bristol has an enormous pedigree when it comes to roots music, which is clearly on show with the calibre of acts embroiled in For The Love of Dub's first bash of 2015.
On the line up will be the likes of Stand High Patrol, whose smoky, jazzy reggae and intoxicating dub really is something to get lost in (witness that in 'Sleep On It' above).
Guaranteed to rattle a few rib cages will be the tremendous sounds sounds of RSD, who was always one of the most sophisticated producers to have emerged from the dubstep movement. As one of the few that remained loyal to the dub aspect of the genre, his productions remain timeless pieces of music that resonate with authenticity. Relive one of our favourites below.
Also watch out for Roots Factory, Dub Smugglers Sound System with Top Rankin, Ilu Axe, Disorda, Seanie T and a whole host of other roots innovators. Head here for your For The Love Of Dub tickets.
