With a long weekend ahead of us, it is the perfect time to get together with family and have a fun day or two out. London has plenty of options when it comes to family entertainment and we thought it'd be a good idea to highlight some of the experiences you can have this weekend. From theatre shows to nature walks, check out the list below.

Disney's The Lion King

When: Wednesday 5th-Monday 10th April

Where: The Lyceum Theatre, London

The Lion King has been on the West End and it's no surprise given how amazing the choreography is. There are plenty of people who have seen this show more than once as it takes the songs from the classic Disney movie and delivers them in their most dramatic and hilarious proportions.

Frozen

When: Wednesday 5th-Monday 10th April

Where: Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London

The movie of Frozen was an instant classic and that has very much translated onto the theatre stage. An adaptation that keeps on getting better and better, it again utilises Disney's ability to craft iconic soundtracks. It is a marvel to be able to see them performed in this show.

Wicked

We hope you like drama because Wicked is one of the most seat-gripping theatre shows that you can catch on the West End. Follow the story of how the two witches associated with the Wizard of Oz got to where we find them in the classic film, with an all-star cast and brilliant performances.

The Best In Stand Up

This is the place to go with your kids if they're a bit older. The Comedy Store always has something going on through its doors and they often invite the very best stand-up comedians down to make sure that you'll be laughing for a long time. There aren't many better ways to spend a day out.

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child

Surely there is no better weekend to go and grab a roast than on Easter Sunday? Pubs across London will be packed full of good feelings and a nice warm atmosphere. Head down to your local or the pub you've been meaning to head to for ages and get stuck into a delicious meal.

Enjoy Spring at Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens is putting on the latest of its series of trails and this time around it sees you following the Superworm, you may remember he was the star of a book and animated Christmas show on the BBC. You'll get to experience the gardens in bloom as Spring sees the sprouting of all kinds of beautiful plants.

Enjoy an Easter Trail

Easter trails are taking place all over London. We recommend that you give the one at Hampton Court Palace a go as Lindt Gold Bunny trail where on completion you'll be gifted with a gold bunny chocolate treat. This will be an event where the kids will have lasting memories.
