1st May: Massey attack...............

This Saturday at Funkademia see's the return of Chris Massey to the decks, his debut back in March set the place on fire and we're all looking forward to his return. He'll be joined by Les Croasdaile with the Set in Stone DJ's taking over the back room for some smooth soulfull house classics..

8th May: Northern Redsoul..............

Northern Funk main man Myk Nolan warms up the main room with DJ Redsoul taking it on. Last month Redsoul still had the place bouncing at 4am so expect a late one. DJ Bexx returns from her very successfull recent Mint debut to hold court in the back room.

15th May: From the Attic to Mint............

Ladies favourute Les Croasdaile joins the master mixer Jon Busstop in the main room. Busstop has been with Funkademia since back in our Attic days and has never failed to impress. The Good For the Soul Boys will be doing their own thang in the back room.

22nd May. "the best gig since Space, Ibiza"

DJ Kidblast warms up for our most recent signing David Dunne. Following his recent debut David - who by the way has DJ'ed in many of the worlds top venues posted the above quote online. Big thanks go out to David for the support he lent a fledgling Funkademia night in the mid ninities when he was the main man at the much lamented Kiss Manchester. Phil Beckett and the Canteen Dj's take over the back room.

29th May . Bank Holiday soul weekend.........

Two long standing stalwarts of the Manchester soul scene Dave Hulston & Simon Ozbiston join forces in opposite rooms of the club to provide a proper soulful Bank Holiday. Sandwiched between will be our favourite eccentric Trafford Lovething providing his own unique take on all things funky. Look out for our re-launch of our much loved Northern Funk night in the back room this week.

SKIDDLE IS 9 YEARS OLD THIS SUNDAY

Skiddle is 9 years old on Sunday 2nd May and they are having a FREE party at Jacksons Warehouse in the Northern Quarter part of Manchester with Funkademia DJ's kicking off the day at 4pm...
