Notorious hip hop cluster Gang Starr Foundation head on a world tour with stops in Liverpool and Glasgow in April.
Established in the nineties between Guru and DJ Premier, the collective shook up the genre to critical acclaim with socially informed lyrics and jazz inflected beats. Not content with genre domination, the duo locked in a supergroup of East Coast MCs which became the Gang Starr Foundation.
Showcasing supreme triplet Jeru The Damaja, Big Shu and Afu Ra, integral members of the east coast collective get together to shoot some classic material like Jeru's 'Come Clean' or Gang Starr front runners 'Full Clip' and 'Moment Of Truth' (Watch Jeru in action above).
With only two UK dates stamped in, the Liverpool and Glasgow dates provide a rare spectacle to see a trailblazing trio of lauded MCs.
Uk dates below:
Liverpool - Constellations, Thursday 14th April
Glasgow - 02 ABC, Friday 15th April
