Electronic music pioneer Gary Numan is to top the bill at Scotland's best Grass Roots Event, The Wickerman Festival.
Professional pilot Mr Numan may even fly over the picturesque, rolling hills that characterise the Wickerman site at East Kirkcarswell Farm, Dundrennan in the South West of Scotland. Fiery frolics are the theme and July the 25th and 26th are the dates for the "hottest" weekend on the festival calendar.
Now in its seventh year it features eight stages alongside other attractions which include chainsaw juggling, outdoor cinema, mountain bike skills course, children's circus and the spectacular burning of a 25ft Wickerman at Saturday midnight.
In addition to the emotive electronica of Gary Numan over 100 acts have been confirmed for the July jamboree. These include Britpop summer feel-good band Dodgy, Manchester icons The Hacienda Tour, punk-rock stalwarts Sham 69 and returning festival favourites Alabama Three.
Shining stars Zoey van Goey, De Rosa and Broken Records grab the limelight on the Solus Stage which provides a platform for Scotland's emerging talent.
Dance fans can look forward to sets from Annie Nightingale, Xpress-2 and Mr C vs Tim Sheridan in the late night Eden Zone and Skiddle showcase arena.
For lovers of acoustic music American folk legend Dean Friedman will appear alongside comedy favourites the Lancashire Hotpots and The Wonderstuff's Miles Hunt.
Weekend tickets including camping and parking are £75, Saturday day tickets £50. Check out all the stage line-ups, ticket and camping details at www.thewickermanfestival.co.uk
