There's an awful lot going on in Gatecrasher world at the minute, not least the forthcoming unveiling of their new 3 million euro superclub in Ibiza (read about that here). Back home and Gatecrasher continues to fly the flag of supreme clubbing firepower, with May seeing it continue to display an extraordinary line up of nights in its arsenal.
The Birmingham clubbing monolith welcomes Supersonic Vague on Friday 2nd. The well established sound clash night prepares four rooms packed with ideal clubbing music, whatever your tastes. Room one serves up a raft of the finest indie and disco anthems, whilst room two plays some of biggest records of the 21st century.
Room three cuts loose with a mixed bag of r&b and funky, with room four going straight in for the kill with a hefty selection of underground, bass heavy bangers.
He might have been in the business longer than almost anyone, but Oakey continues to be one of the most respected and influential DJs and producers out there. His sets remain as technically brilliant as ever (check out his Essential Mix above for proof), with his ability to cause a riot on the dancefloor still very much in tact. Paul Oakenfold and Gatecrasher are two forces made for each other - this is a guaranteed smash.
The all conquering Swede Steve Angello has failed to put a foot wrong with his Size imprint. Now home to some of electronic music's biggest movers and shakers, Size continues to set the benchmark for electro and big room progressive house.
Leading Size protagonists AN21 and Third Party (listen to his track 'Thank You' above) arrive at Gatecrasher armed with their usual brand of melodic hooks, pounding beats and wicked basslines, destined to cause hedonistic carnage.
Superstar boudoir take over the next two Saturdays with a full on menu of clubbing excellence. The main room sees a heady selection of upfront and deep house delivered in style by Gatecrasher favourites Kris Shaw, Paul Kellie and Nu Concept, with James Leeson unleashing his mash up skills in room two.
A sexy selection of hip and r&b adorns room three with other highlights including a live performance from X Factor's Rough Copy.
Details have not yet been released about Gatecrasher's Bank Holiday plans as yet, but you can be rest assured that we're in for another treat from the always impressive party curators.
