Imagine being paid a salary to travel around the UK, stopping off at some of the biggest and most sought-after live music festivals that take place throughout the spring and summer months... Snap out of that daydream, friend, because that fantasy just became a reality! It's time to polish up that CV, kick that monotonous day job to the curb and apply for the role of Skiddle's official Festival Reporter in 2022. 

Nope, this is absolutely not a drill. Applications for what is assuredly the world’s best job are now being taken, with one very lucky prospective Skiddle employee gaining the opportunity to dance, sing and make new acquaintances at thirteen epic music festivals this year. All whilst being paid a rather attractive salary. Cha-ching!

On the lengthy list of events, taking place between May and August, is Lancaster's premier open-air spectacle, Highest Point, where the lucky individual can expect to witness expert performances from the likes of The Verve frontman, Richard Ashcroft, electronic pop outfit, Clean Bandit and British rock icons, Kaiser Chiefs. Other destinations include Kent's Dream Valley, the first-ever edition of Creamfields South in Chelmsford, Manchester's Parklife, set to host world-renowned rap talents and DJs the likes of 50 Cent, Megan Thee Stallion and Bicep, Bluedot Festival, Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival and Creamfields North in Cheshire, celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary with its biggest lineup ever, where the run of festivals will end. So, what are the specifics of the job? What experience do you need to apply for this temporary role and what exactly is expected of a festival reporter? 

The part-time position has been tailored to suit those with a creative streak, those who have a keen eye for producing fun, exciting and engaging content and, obviously, those with an undying passion for live music. We are looking for someone with a friendly, outgoing and confident character to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience, to capture memory-making moments, seeking out the very best of each event, with content gathered set to be used and published across Skiddle’s social platforms. 

The cost of entry to each festival will be covered by Skiddle with other expenses including travel between each event and meals per day, also financed by Skiddle. 

If spending the festival season, hopefully being bathed by the warm summer sun, surrounded by great music and like-minded people sounds right up your street, then this is most certainly the job for you!
