As one of the most distinctive live duos at the moment, kindred spirits Gal Aner and Jordan Czamanski, AKA Juju & Jordash have been carving an experimentally charged brand of free-wheeling club music since the early 2000s. Their last LP Clean-Cut was one of the stand out records of 2014, representing their take on mutated, jazz-inflected machine music with buckets of flare and skill.
As mainstays on the mighty Dekmantel imprint (listen to their podcast for them below) since it launched back in 2009, and cohorts with Berlin stalwart Move D (read our interview with him here) as part of Magic Mountain High, the double team are rightly regarded as genuine sonic pioneers matching a left of field, often tongue in cheek approach with ever present dancefloor nous.
June 19th sees them join both Selective Hearing and Love Dose for a secret warehouse party in Manchester, and on the strength of their brand new EP Down To The Roach alone, anticipation levels are understandably high.
Ahead of that, we caught up with them to find out a few things that you probably didn't know about Juju & Jordash in our 'Getting To Know...' feature.
