Since their second album V.20 was nominated alongside Jungle, Damon Albarn and Young Fathers for the 2014 Mercury Prize, the group have received widespread critical acclaim. This culminated in them signing a three album deal with Blue Note, the first of which, Man Made Object, was released earlier this year.
The 10 song package demonstrates a fondness for classical piano and stuttering breakbeats with refined production and breathtaking elegance. Listen to 'All Res' from Man Made Object above, and read our Gogo Penguin at the sugar club review for evidence of what to expect from the troupe.
2016 has already seen GoGo Penguin play two sold at Shows at Band on The Wall in their home city and their show at the 02 Ritz will be a celebration of what has been a brilliant year for the band. You can get GoGo Penguin tickets for their show at the 02 Ritz in the box below.
