Green Velvet returns to Northern Ireland

The Jika Jika crew have done it again, bringing another tyro from the rave scene to Northern Ireland in the shape of house and techno legend Green Velvet on Saturday 18th November.

Few in electronic music can match the unique an off-kilter approach that makes up the many monikers of Chicago's finest, Curtis Jones. His blisteringly funky workouts as Cajmere alerted the world to his prowess, but's the wonky deranged techno as Green Velvet which has set him aside as a truly all-encompassing force within the scene.

Whether it's the propulsive aural assault of 'Flash' and 'Laser Beams', or the tongue in cheek lucidity of 'Voicemail' and 'Answering Machine', he's managed to capture the hedonistic abandon of the dancefloor throughout the last three decades. That skill will help deliver the funk on Saturday 18th November, when he'll headline Jika Jika at Sugar Derry.
