Hacienda Classical comes to Lichfield on the August bank holiday weekend

Hacienda Classical, Graeme Park, Peter Hook, and more come to Lichfield for a proper bank holiday bash.

Mark your calendars because Hacienda Classical is coming to Beacon Park in Lichfield on Friday 23rd August 2024 for an August bank holiday celebration of music, culture, and community.

Let us introduce you to Hacienda Classical quickly for those not in the know. If you know anything about Manchester or acid house, you’ll know The Hacienda was a legendary nightclub that was at the centre of the acid house revolution and had an undeniably huge impact on clubbing culture. The trailblazing club was all about music and community.

Fast forward to today, The Hacienda no longer exists but its legacy lives on. One of the ways The Hacienda continues to impact the modern music scene is through Hacienda Classical - a 50-piece orchestra that expertly performs club classics alongside additional musicians and vocalists.

Hacienda Classical arrives in Lichfield with Manchester Camerata Orchestra and AMC Gospel Choir. Hacienda DJ Graeme Park and Peter Hook of New Order also join with support from Crooked House DJs. To add some extra punch and energy to the performance, vocalists Rae Hall, Melanie Williams, and Yvonne Shelton complete the lineup.
