The crowds in Manchester?s famous Piccadilly Gardens were treated to an usual spectacle of friendly chaos on Saturday afternoon as a horde of Goblins, Voodoo ringmasters and a host of other bizarre characters descended upon the city centre in advance of a huge halloween extravaganza. The organisers of a full scale indoor festival that is to be held on the 31st of October at Bowler?s warehouse in Trafford have been pulling out all of the stops to promote their event and bring a little bit of colour to an otherwise grey Saturday afternoon in Manchester. Armed with a megaphone and some incredible costumes, the gang patrolled the streets encouraging passersby and onlookers to join in the fun. Manchester is no stranger to a good party so it was all taken in good spirits. Some of the performers posed for photographs with young children who loved the costumes as well as some older people who just enjoyed the spectacle. Some local buskers and street performers got involved which caused an impromptu limbo competition and a dance off between a goblin and a stormtrooper. Just a usual Saturday in Manchester city centre, then. As Manchester starts to prepare for a season of autumn and winter events, students and party goers will be looking for the next big thing and IllumiNaughty seem determined to make their mark on the entertainment landscape. The party will feature a cross section of DJs and artists from the worlds of Psy Trance, Drum and Bass, Breaks and more. There will also be a host of circus performers, dancers, visual artists, street food traders and an outdoor fairground to keep the party goers entertained.IllumiNaughty, Lost City takes place on October the 31st at Bowler?s exhibition in Trafford and will run from 7pm until 5am with an after party that runs from 5am until 9am
