Seminal Madchester outfit Happy Mondays are celebrating 30 years since the release their iconic track '24 Hour Party People', eventually the title of a 2002 film that delves into the work of Tony Wilson, Factory records, The Hacienda and all things synonymous with that era.
2017 marks not just 3 decades of that track, but also of the album it came off Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out) - The Monday's debut release.
As well as penning that particular song, it goes without saying that Shaun Ryder and Co are also responsible for some of the city's most notable anthems, not least 'Kinky Afro', 'Step On', 'Hallelujah' and many, many more, helping them to define what the baggy era was all about.
Happy Mondays come to both Liverpool and Preston this winter, and you can find Happy Mondays tickets below.
