The 26th installment of the Balance compilation series is released on October 13th, and will be mixed by none other than Argentinean melodic master Hernan Cattaneo.

Cattaneo follows in the footsteps of the likes of James Holden, Danny Tenaglia, Nic Fanicuili and Radio Slave in taking the reins of the compilation series, which has done more than others in recent years to breathe life into an art form which is supposedly flagging.

Mixed across two discs, it features the likes of Guy J, Boards of Canada (their 'Aquarius (Version 3)', above, opens the first disc) Moderat and Mano Le Tough, alongside several of his own productions and remixes. It's endemic of the deep and melodic style which has ensured his reputation is so strong over the years, with the DJ himself saying the following about the release:

“I’m still playing the same as I’ve always done, and that is melodic and deep music - never too hard or fast. I’ve been into DJing all my life and I always put personality as number one and crucial for any DJ, so I’ve never been into musical trends.”

He'll be heading on a huge global tour around the release, with dates in Japan, Holland, Australia and Brazil all confirmed, as well as two shows in the UK.

The first will see him top the bill at Ministry of Sound on Friday October 24th for The Gallery, alongside King Unique. He then joins Nick Warren for a very special five hour back to back set at The Garage in Liverpool one day later. Ticket links for both respective shows are below:
