Hidden - a venue at the heart of Manchester's music and arts scene has in its relatively short tenure placed itself as one of the city's most dazzling destinations of revelry. It's little wonder it won the Best Club Award at the Manchester City Life Awards the very year it opened.
Its playful, creative environment, daubed in graffiti and outlandish production is a venue to truly lose yourself in, which makes its Halloween stint, perhaps the most creatively exciting weekend of the year, even more tantalising, with three monstrous parties in store between 27th-29th October.
Two of Glasgow's, scratch that, the UK's most respected crate diggers headline all vinyl club night House of Wax's Halloween Special for one of their freewheeling, hedonistic sets that combine impeccable selections with immense dancefloor prowess. Expect house, techno, EBM, disco and much more seamlessly stirred into a bubbling cauldron of rave-ready mirth. WatchOptimo in action above to see what we mean.
On October 28th, Coded Rhythm enlist Swamp81 anchor Boddika to captain their Halloween hoedown. Initially coming to our attention as part of Instra:mental, Alex Bleek has under his Boddika moniker and alongside Joy Orbison created a number of this decade's most iconic club tracks.
He also happens to be a demon selector, with bass, acid, and techno colliding in a raucous journey though the darker regions of dance music. And to sweeten those toffee apples, there's also a second room of bass, grime and jungle helmed by DJ Hyphen and Kinyume.

To cap off Hidden's banquet of beats the venue hosts its own in house night starring some of minimal techno's most exciting exports. Romanian tech scientist Rhadoo takes headline duties, ably supported by Giegling favourite Edward, and Anton Fitz in the Blue Room, whilst Wet Play maestro Ruf Dug, Kickin Pigeon and the wonderful Ste Spandex go off on a bedeviled house tip in the Den.
