Despite the double disappointment of having to postpone the festival in May and then again this September due to Coronavirus concerns, the team behind Highest Point, Lancashire’s largest music festival, have not let it get them down.
They’ve set about adding more big names to the impressively diverse 2021 lineup, which already boasts Rag’n’Bone Man, Rudimental, Becky Hill, Wilkinson, Ms. Banks, Richy Ahmed, General Levy, Lottery Winners and loads more.
Drum n bass heavyweight Sub Focus has been added to the bill on Saturday 15th May, performing just ahead of BRIT and MOBO Award-winning Ella Eyre, who has just released new EP ‘Quarter Life Crisis’.
Located in Lancaster’s 54-acre Williamson Park, beneath the iconic Ashton Memorial, Highest Point welcomed over 15,000 people in 2019 to see acts including The Zutons, Feeder, Grandmaster Flash and Sister Sledge.
With four stages, including a unique and atmospheric natural amphitheatre, over 100 acts are set to perform across the weekend in May, which includes The Big Family Day Out on Sunday 16th May.
Highest Point organisers have also promised a special evening to thank local key workers for their efforts during the Coronavirus crisis, with a free party due to take place on Sunday night.
