Highest Point: 3D (Danny Howells, Darren Emerson and Dave Seaman) join line-up
The legendary DJ/producers join Rudimental, Rag'n'Bone Man and Wilkinson at Lancashire's largest festival

Veteran DJ/producers Danny Howells, Darren Emerson and Dave Seaman, collectively known as 3D, have just been added to the Friday line-up for Highest Point festival 2020 - their first ever UK festival appearance.
Bringing together almost 80 years' worth of experience in electronic music, 3D launched in 2017 and have since gone on tour across the globe, performing shows from The Ministry of Sound in London to Hidden Garden Festival in Eindhoven and Rapture Electronic in Miami.
3D join the Lancashire's festivals most impressive line-up to date, which includes Mercury Prize-nominated British four-piece Rudimental, BRIT Award winner Rag'n'Bone Man, and drum and bass hero Wilkinson - with even more acts yet to be announced.
To fully understand the scope of 3D's influence and accomplishments, it's worth diving into the history of each member.
With over 20 years’ experience, Danny Howells has held residencies at a number of world-class venues, including Arc, Twilo, Renaissance, The End and Bedrock. He’s best known for his numerous acclaimed mix albums, which include contributions to the Global Underground series and his three-part ‘Nocturnal Frequencies’ series for Obsessive, as well as his revered Dig Deeper imprint.
As one of the original founding members of legendary electronic act Underworld, Darren Emerson has remained an innovator for more than 30 years. His pivotal Underworld classics, including ‘dubnobasswithmyheadman’ and ‘Born Slippy’, still serve as genre-defining classics of the 90s electronica boom. He’s since go on to establish dual imprints, Underwater and Detone, as well as collaborate with the likes of Depeche Mode, Björk and The Chemical Brothers.
With a career spanning over almost three decades, Dave Seaman is the man behind era-defining labels Stress and Audio Therapy. In addition to his countless mix compilations for the Global Underground and Renaissance Masters series, he’s also collaborated and remixed for the likes of Pet Shop Boys, David Bowie and New Order, and recently established a new label, Selador Recordings.
Located in Lancaster’s 54-acre Williamson Park, beneath the iconic Ashton Memorial, Highest Point is Lancashire's largest music festival, welcoming over 15,000 people in 2019 to see acts including The Zutons, Feeder, Grandmaster Flash and Sister Sledge.
With four stages, including a unique and atmospheric natural amphitheatre, over 100 acts are set to perform across the weekend, which includes The Big Family Day Out on Sunday 17th May.
