After yet another sell-out year under the sun in Lancaster's Williamson Park, the Highest Point Big Family Day Out is back for 2024, ready and prepped for another jam-packed day of family fun at an affordable price for all.

Whether you’re watching the kids dance along to the music on the main stage, seeing their little minds get blown by a magician, getting pictures of them posing with their favourite Dinosaurs, seeing their curiosity unfold as they watch the Owls, or dancing and getting silly with them at the dress up disco in the woods; The Big Family Day Out will ensure family memories for a lifetime.

Tickets for the Big Family Day Out go live at 9:30 tomorrow! Sign up to RemindMe now at the bottom of this page to avoid disappointment.

Williamson Park will be alive and buzzing with things to do. On the Main Stage, we are delighted to bring the one and only MC Grammar - rapping teacher and World Book Day Hero - fresh from his recent tour and Little Voices appearances. Joining MC Grammar will be Scottish legends, Peat & Diesel, with their infectious Celtic rock; Cumbrian 5-piece, The Moonshine Shakers; as well as local heroes, Molly Warburton and George Lawson; and of course, family day just wouldn’t be family day without our friends from Stagecoach performing arts.

Elsewhere in the park, there will be some returning favourites from last year: the Dinosaurs of Lancaster area and the roaming Transformers characters courtesy of Don’t Panic, the amazing aerial acrobatics and workshops of Northern Heights, the Award-winning baby and toddler music sensory classes from Hartbeeps, as well as the amazing Drum Machine bringing performances and workshops for 2024.

However, alongside the returning favourites, there will also be loads of new things for the little ones to do.

The World Owl Trust will be bringing some of the majestic birds for the kids to come and learn about, there will be archery set up for the kids to test their aim courtesy of Outdoor Elements, a relaxing headphone storytime session with A Word In Your Ear, and also Rhubarb Theatre’s Bombardiers and Admirals shows or PIF PAF Theatre’s new show TOAST; it will be a hoot for the whole family.

With a new sports area, green screen photos and lots more around the park it promises a great day out for everyone in Williamson Park this May.

Tickets for Big Family Day Out will cost £15 for Adults and £10 for Children (5-16), with under 5’s going free; and will be going live at 9:30am tomorrow!

Just be warned, tickets sell out every year, so make sure to sign up for reminders in the link below, and secure yours and the kid's spot, you don’t want to miss out!
