Internationally renowned and respected house DJ and producer Richy Ahmed has just been added to the Highest Point festival lineup.
Headlining the Do Not Sleep stage on Friday 11th September 2020, Ahmed joins Josh Butler, Seb Zito, East End Dubs and Luuk Van Dijk at Lancashire's biggest music festival - which has been rescheduled from 15-17 May to 11-13 September due the outbreak of COVID-19.
Headlining the main stage at the 54-acre Williamson Park over the weekend are Rudimental (Friday) and Rag'n'Bone Man (Saturday), who will be joined by Becky Hill, Ms. Banks, Wilkinson, Gentleman's Dub Club, General Levy, Lottery Winners, Riot Jazz, 3D (aka Dave Seaman, Darren Emerson and Danny Howells), The Lovely Eggs, Charlotte OC, BBC Introducing and more.
Note: all artists have agreed to play an alternative date if government COVID-19 guidelines don't allow the festival to take place in September.
Having established themselves within Ibiza's underground scene, tech house party brand Do Not Sleep has grown from a Balearic winter party to become a fully rounded record label, radio show, and touring club brand, throwing events from Space and Amnesia in Ibiza to Hideout festival in Croatia and Manchester's iconic Albert Hall.
Alongside resident and talisman Darius Syrossian, South Shields-born Ahmed is a regular on the DNS roster, and will arrive in Lancaster on the back of a busy few years, having hosted parties from BPM Portugal to Mint Warehouse in Leeds, held a residency at Paradise Ibiza, and launched his own label, Four Thirty Two.
Located beneath the iconic Ashton Memorial, Highest Point welcomed over 15,000 people in 2019 to see acts including The Zutons, Feeder, Grandmaster Flash and Sister Sledge. With four stages, including a unique and atmospheric natural amphitheatre, around 100 acts are set to perform across the weekend, which includes The Big Family Day Out on Sunday 17th May.
