2017 is already proving to be the year of classic hip hop. With tours from Souls of Mischief, Kool G Rap and Roots Manuva following on from appearances by KRS-one and Big Daddy Kane, the next legends of the game to step up are Main Source who head to the UK for two dates in August.
The group reformed towards the tail end of last year, with Sir Scratch and K-Cut joined by the erstwhile third member, the legendary Large Professor. He left the group after the release of their classic debut Breaking Atoms, with the trio settling their differences to mark 25 years since the legendary album dropped.

Rap sages will remember that LP for the epochal posse cut 'Live at the BBQ', which introduced the world at large to a 17-year-old rap sensation by the name of Nas. The group never released another full-length album due to label wranglings, but also gave an early outing on wax to fellow east coast legends The Lox.
They will be joined on tour by Joe Fatal, another emcee on 'Live at the BBQ', Neek the Exotic (one of the spitters on the group's other classic track 'Fakin the Funk') and experimental jazz three-piece Vels Trio.
