Woop Woop! That's the sound of da police.

A key figure in the uprising of hip hop during the late eighties, KRS-One is currently touring the UK.

Starting out as part of Boogie Down Productions with Scott La Rock and D-Nice, the 'Blastmaster' went on to blaze a fiery trail with his socially-informed lyrics that brought hits like the unmistakable 'Sound Of Da Police'.

This political tongue would earn him the nickname "The Teacher", a mark of his activism in the fight against violence. No doubt integral to the golden era of hip hop and giving the genre a voice, KRS is a rare spectacle in UK territories.
