For their first Manchester Party of 2012, the city's rudest band of Disco Asbos welcome the Buck Rogers of Disco exploration - Todd Terje.
As the man behind one of HomoElectric's all time favourite foot stompers 'Eurodans', Todd Terje is a real HomoElectric favourite, and his playful, sometimes tongue in cheek tapestry of house, funk, disco, samba and percussive grooves makes for an ideal soundtrack to the first HomoElectric of the year.
Terje has re-edited and remixed his way through a huge catalogue of tracks over the years, with nothing being off limits. Chic, Wham!, Queen, The Osmonds, The Bangles, Stevie Wonder, even Demis Roussos have all enjoyed lip smacking makeovers from this 21st Century Disco champion. More production came last year in the form of 'Ragysh', and his new EP The Arps is due any day soon.
As Todd himself says, "I both like playing big room/macho style, but at the same time it's the girls I play for really. So I guess it's a mixture of high octane, leather homo-disco done up with mambo, coconuts and lipstick". So, absolutely perfect for HomoElectric then!
Support comes from usual HomoElectric suspects Will Tramp!, Jamie Bull and Trash-O-Rama.
Tickets for HomoElectric Manchester are now on sale through Skiddle, priced at £10. Get yours below!
