HomoElectric's move to Antwerp Mansion has seen the lauded club night for 'twisted, sleazy people' enter it's most exciting phase yet. The last couple of parties alone have seen the likes of Hacienda legend Greg Wilson, British dance music institution Justin Robertson, and Electric Chair co-founder Luke Unabomber really embrace the anything goes flavour of the night with storming DJ sets that fully encompassed the variation and unmitigated fun that the night fosters.
A integral part of any well loved club night remains the atmosphere, and HomoElectric's all inclusive, attitude and aggro free character is hard to beat. Freely welcoming people regardless of gender or sexual orientation, the secret of HomoElectric's success can be seen in the crowd it attracts, where people are less obsessed about appearance and social status than they are about the music and having a good time, a refreshing change to the norm.
The music policy too remains freewheeling, and yet resolutely focused on passion and soul, with love, hedonism, escapism and freedom fiercely promoted. Techno sits alongside classic disco, garage alongside house in a joyous purveying of quality, unpretentious, non commercial music. It's no wonder that HomoElectric perpetually sells out, with fans buying their tickets well in advance to enjoy the unique, free philosophy the night so proudly peddles.
HomoElectric's upcoming show then on April 4th has already seen a surge of interest, with DJing favourites like Manchester's very own disco and boogie specialist Will Tramp! once again appearing on the line up for April 4th.
With a jam packed upcoming schedule that sees him put in appearances everywhere from The Garage in Leeds, to Parklife, Electric Elephant in Croatia to numerous slots at The Warehouse Project, the HomoElectric resident is more primely placed than most to get the Manchester crowd going wild. Check out his set for WHP above to get a feel for this guys skills behind the decks.
Topping the bill in room one will be Jonjo Jury, a true low slung disco specialist hailing from the capital (above), whilst Leeds based Lucy Locket and HomoElecteric stalwart Jamie Bull take over room two for another thrilling edition of the hugely popular night.
