Last month we went into great detail about just why we love HomoElectric so much. The longstanding Manchester night has long promoted the sort of party atmosphere that many clubs dream of: an attitude free, fool good vibe combined with a reliably discerning, party primed music policy (check out their 2014 promo movie below).
Heading the line up for their Bank Holiday Special will be the genre spanning talents of Riton. Having started out in the world of hip hop and downtempo with a run of solid releases on Fat City's Grand Central imprint, Riton progressed through the sonic spectrum, culminating in his joining forces with the late, great DJ Mehdi as part of the iconic duo Carte Blanche in 2010.
Now still a major force on the iconic French label Ed Banger, Riton continues to deliver the goods both with his productions and his excitingly varied live performances (hear that in his Fabric mix above), which is exactly why Homoelectric have enticed him to Antwerp Mansion on the 23rd May. Expect some serious tunes.
He will be joined by Crazy P's always impressive Danielle Moore, Electric Chair's Luke Unabomber and residents Will Tramp! and Jamie Bull for a decidedly killer edition of HomoElectric. Bag your tickets here.
