Halloween is approaching quickly now and if you haven't got your plans sorted yet then you're not alone. It can be hard to think of things to do for the whole family, especially for Halloween in London. Luckily, the city is packed full of entertainment and we have some amazing places on Skiddle that you can visit. Here's your essential breakdown as to where you can take the whole family in London this Halloween.

Jeff Wayne's The War Of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience

When: Thursday 13th October- Thursday 20th October

Where: 56 Leadenhall Street, London

The War of the Worlds is one of the essential sci-fi releases that is almost unescapable and has endured the test of time. Here, you can experience it not only in theatrical form but in a revolutionary 5D experience. A mixture of live-action, multisensory effects and virtual reality, it is set to Jeff Wayne's iconic score.

West End Musical Halloween

When: Monday 31st October

Where: Lyric Theatre, London

The West End's number 1 concert series, this event will be a special one-off night for theatre lovers. Bringing together some of the biggest stars, they will be performing songs from some of the darker shows that have been seen on the West End from Sweeney Todd to The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Phantom Of the Opera.

Family Friendly Halloween Party

When: Friday 28th October

Where: Ballin Maidstone, Maidstone

Balin are putting on a party just for the kids this Halloween. Fancy dress is encouraged as there will be multiple photo opportunities throughout the event. With plenty of Halloween entertainment and games, there will also be various Halloween characters walking around too.

The London Dungeon

Where: The London Dungeon, London

The London Dungeon offers London gruesome horrors all year long. For their Halloween events, things get even gorier with plenty of blood and guts to be seen throughout. Meet some of the most notorious historical figures including Guy Fawkes, Sweeney Todd and Jack The Ripper.

Warner Bros Studio Tour

The Warner Bros Studio Tour is where you will find all things Harry Potter. Located in Watford, this is where you'll find all the props from the hugely successful run of movies. Lots of iconic moments are found throughout and for Halloween, the whole place is covered with suitably spooky decor. 

 


 

Madame Tussauds

Where: Madame Tussauds, London

Madame Tussauds always make a bit more effort for Halloween as they unlock their Chamber of Horrors for a limited time only. In here, you'll find only the scariest of their waxworks, so be prepared for frights unless they don't scare you at all, which in that case feel free to take a photo with them.

Covent Garden Halloween Pumpkin Market

Covent Garden is the place to be for Halloween fun, especially for the kids. If you wear a costume, you'll be handed a free treat bag and there will be plenty of live entertainment too. Pumpinks will be available from as little as £2, so you can take one away to carve and you'll find the whole area dressed up in Halloween colours of orange and black.

 


 

Wicked

When: Thursday 13th October- Friday 6th January 2023

Where: Apollo Victoria Theatre, London

Wicked is one of the most recognisable shows on the West End. It's one of the longest-running shows and with good reason. The acting is always phenomenal as we follow the Wicked Witch of the West. 11 million people have enjoyed this show and there's no better time to watch it than during the Halloween period.

Shrek's Adventure!

Where: Shrek's Adventure, London

Shrek's Adventure is a staple of the Thames river bank, a short walk away from Big Ben. Inside, you'll find an interactive experience where you'll have to search for Shrek. You'll encounter iconic characters from the films including Donkey and the whole family is invited to join.

Brick or Treat at Legoland

Where: Legoland Windsor Resort Hotel, Windsor

Legoland is a fantastic experience all year round but during the spookiest time of the year, they start their Brick or Treat event where the darker characters take over the park. There are all kinds of Halloween-themed activities to do and plenty of cool collectables to pick up too.
