What do you do before you go on stage?

Dave Clarke:  I don’t really have any particular thing. I get to the gig about 45 mins before, and listen to the DJ before me.

A-Trak: Take a piss.

The Magician: I drink a long shot of Vodka and I kiss my manager.

Modeselektor:  Well, it probably doesn’t sound really exciting, but we really just sit backstage and relax with our crew. A show is always pretty heavy physical and mental work; you communicate with people, you constantly move around … And it’s really hot on stage.

Best I Love Techno memory?

Dave Clarke: Peter bringing me a white rabbit. He asked me what can he do to get me to play here, and I said "ok, a big stuffed white rabbit" and then completely forgot about it. He turned up on stage with this hideous massive white rabbit - that was quite funny.

A-Trak: Two years ago the crowd was singing the Barbra Streisand “oo-oo-oo-oo” melody over most of my set, even other songs!

The Magician: Daft Punk Live in 1995.

Modeselektor: I have lost my memory.

What is your favourite Techno track of all time?

Dave Clarke: Way too difficult. Maybe 'Clear' by Cybotron.

The Magician: Rhythim is Rhythim, 'Strings of Life'

A-Trak: Kraftwerk, 'Tour de France'

Modeselektor: Underground Resistance, 'Sonic Destroyer 1991'

What is Techno, to you?

Dave Clarke: Every week, every year.

A-Trak: Pure, distilled, beat-driven dance music.

The Magician: Technologic, energy, dance.

Modeselektor: The reason why Modeselektor actually exists!
