We are now in full swing on the White Isle, everywhere is open and the island is one big hot mess of excitement. Slather on your factor 50, because things are really heating up as we head into July. We don’t want you to blister and end up missing all the big parties this month.
First up we are kicking off July with ANTS on Saturday 2nd and we will be in good company. Gracing the Ushuaia stage is DJ Sneak, Kölsch and Yousef. This is bound to be one hell of a daytime party and once that’s over we shall be hot-footing it across the street for elrow at Space. Hot Since 82 and Skream in the Discoteca, Joris Voorn all night long on the Terrace and Finnebassen (listen to his mix for us below) on the Sunset Terrace – yikes!
The Ibiza Rocks birthday is the talk of the island this year and if the Queen can have two birthdays then surely so can Ibiza royalty? The Rocks crew have an absolutely outstanding duo of celebrations this year. The first one we are more than excited about... LCD Soundsystem are coming to the island! James Murphy and his full crew of musicians take to the stage on Wednesday 6th and it is bound to be one of those gigs that will go down in history.
The second installment of the celebrations will see Major Lazer take over the venue on 13th July. This is BIG, right? Also, we can’t talk Ibiza Rocks and birthdays without mentioning their their Friday night W.A.R parties turn five on 15th July. DJ EZ, Majestic and Yungun take charge.
Our friends over at Sankeys Ibiza have got the season off to a great start. This year they have a whole host of new parties in their repertoire, most notably Applebum on Tuesday for a dose of classic hip-hop and underground house treats at Abode every Friday (they are definitely the coolest new kids on the Balearic block).
Two standout events from those parties include Applebum on 19th July with DJ Jazzy Jeff and Mr Doris then on the 29th July Abode have Yousef, Secondcity and Max Chapman teamed up.
Another newbie to take note of this year is ONYX at Space Ibiza each Monday. It has been cited as the new upcoming success story, taking the crown from 2015’s Do Not Sleep. The exciting new techno concept promises to mysteriously ‘explore the darker side of Mondays’. It's a high-end project that combines electronica and 3D mapping in a bespoke production promises to be the sensation on the White Island this season, and certainly a treat for true techno lovers.
You have to experience Cream at Amnesia whilst on the island - it's one of the longest serving nights on the island. Highlights for July include Above & Beyond on the 21st July as well as the Cream Birthday Party on 28th July with Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, Philip George and DJ SKT.
All of the Music Is Revolution line ups are spectacular, but July's first offering is extra special. It's a feast of back to back and partnering sets, with the main man Carl Cox playing with Nic Fanciulli and newly weds Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg joining forces. The Terraza is bass heavy with Andy C and MC Tonn Piper plus LTJ Bukem and Dynamite MC.
Tickets for Carl Cox's Music Is Revolution at Space Ibiza on Tuesday 5th July are available from the box below.
