June on the island spells out an abundance of opening parties. This is the month where Ibiza is finally in full swing and the decisions of which venues and club nights to go to are getting harder. With so much going on every night of the week we have decided to make things that little bit easier for you with our Month Ahead for June.
It’s a big night on Friday 3rd June with various happenings across various genres. At Amnesia, Music On hosts it’s Opening Party. Presented by Marco Carola, the party is in its fifth year and will see Carola play alongside Leon, Paco Osuna and Stacey Pullen exploring techno in true Music On fashion.
Over at Ibiza Rocks, it’s the WAR Opening Party and this summer the Rocks team have invited an icon from the grime scene, Stormzy, to takeover the famous poolside stage and present #MERKY; an exclusive monthly residency in association with Noisey.
If you head across to Space also on the 3rd June, then be sure to dust off the sequins for the Glitterbox Opening Party which will see regulars Kenny Dope, Dimitri from Paris and Todd Terry serve you your dose of disco alongside Mr Defected himself, Simon Dunmore.
If you are yet to hear about the elrow parties, where have you been? Expect the unexpected in the weird and wonderful world of inflatables, confetti and performers. Saturday 4th June is the elrow Opening Party where the theme of the evening, to coincide with the Olympic Games in Rio, is the Rowlympic Games. Guest DJs include Steve Lawler, Matador and Groove Armada all night long in the Terrace.
On Saturday 18th June, elrow is a Bollywood theme, this time with and extended set by Seth Troxler whilst Sasha plays all night long on the Terrace as part of the elrowCity concept.
We are probably going to mention that it’s the final ever season for Space quite often, so to start off, Sunday 5th June is the final ever Sundays at Space Opening Party. It’s sad, it’s the end of an era but kick-starting the Sunday run for the final time is an array of talent including 2manyDJs, James Zabiela and Tensnake.
Tuesday 7th June is the launch of Together at Amnesia. The opening party sees Chase & Status, Andy C and Kano take over the main room for some bass action then on the Terrace Gorgon City, Hannah Wants, Redlight and Disciples bring another layer of excellence. Fast forward a week later to the 14th June and DJ EZ will be headlining the Terrace and Stormzy and Preditah join the line-up for the Main Room.
Thursday 9th it's back to Amnesia again for the Cream Opening Party with Aly & Fila, Eddie Halliwell (classic Cream set) in the main room whilst Fatboy Slim, DJ Fresh and DJ SKT play on the Terrace for what is set to be one hell of a party. These Thursday parties at Amnesia have been around the longest and have become a pilgrimage for clubbers coming to Ibiza year after year, providing the winning line-ups time and time again.
Slaves will bring the noise for their return to Ibiza Rocks on Wednesday 15th June. Last year they supported The Libertines for the sold-out 10th Birthday show and proved their worth to open the Ibiza Rocks season.
A big week for the Sankeys Ibiza team beginning on Sunday 19th June with the Warriors Opening Party. Steve Lawler is back at the helm and returns with Eats Everything, Denney and more in tow for one of Ibiza’s most celebrated nights.

London based hip-hop brand Applebum make their home at Sankeys from Tuesday 21st June hosting an opening party with DJ Yoda. Applebum is promising to break down genre divides with some acclaimed house and techno DJs performing exclusive hip-hop sets. Sounds very interesting indeed.
Finally, London’s biggest Sunday terrace party will tie itself to the Sankeys brand by announcing Sankeys basement as their summer home. Friday 24th June is the Abode Opening Party with Alex Arnout, Max Chapman and Secondcity.
This months Golden Ticket gets you two Ibiza experiences in one. When in Ibiza it's imperative to get involved with a boat party. Lost In Ibiza has teamed up with Paradise to offer the perfect pre-party complete with special guest DJs performing arts on state of the art soundsystems, dancefloors, sun loungers, fully stocked bars and a champagne bar.
You can soak up a set from Jamie Roy and Jacky on the Med before heading to DC10 for the Paradise Opening Party on Wednesday 22nd June.
