A new annual project from Festival Insights has revealed the 250 best festivals around the world, in terms of size of the event and its commercial success.
The data was gathered during the 2015 season and was based upon ticket revenue, sponsorship estimates, capacity and the duration of the event.
The top three champions representatives from a trio of continents, with Japan's Fuji Rock taking third place and the world renowned Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset taking second place.
Topping the table, perhaps unsurprisingly is Coachella. The colossal California event takes place over two weekends and on the year of analysis had AC/DC, Jack White and Drake at the top of its bill.
There was also a place in the top ten for Download Festival (6th), T in The Park (8th) and Reading festival - the latter completing the top five behind Danish festival Roskilde. Watch above to see Catfish and the Bottlemen bringing the heat to the Main Stage at T in the Park this summer.
