As one of the most fiercely original parties out there, Insomni-Fest has garnered a name for itself with its over the top, mindblowing visual aesthetic, where the only remit is to make the impossible, possible. Easter Sunday sees the endlessly inventive party starters descend once again on the Beaverworks, intent on outdoing themselves for a Welcome to the Jungle special edition, complete with six rooms of party primed DJing power.
With the decor undergoing an exotic JUNGLE transformation from the Insmni-Fest professionals, including 'life sized animals, giant palm trees, exotic Insomni-Creatures, professional ZOO body painters and 2000 party animals', the surroundings will be complimented by the arrival of the UKs most influential garage disc jockey - DJ EZ.
The Tottenham born garage pioneer has continually been at the forefront of the urban dance music scene. Through pirate radio stations and extensive gigs, EZ has for the last 20 years been purveying the cutting edge sounds of the genre, championing up and coming producers whilst honing his skills as a top selector.
Now considered UK garage royalty, his sets are a blistering whirlwind of quick mixes, on the fly edits and scratching, making him one of the most singular and iconic voices in his field. Just check out his Boiler Room appearance to see what we mean.
He'll be joined by Simma Black main man Low Steppa (listen to his mix above), Birmingham bad boys Cause & Effect, Sleepin' is Cheatin' favourites Tom Zanetti and Ko Kane, bassline superstar Jamie Duggan, Danny Bond complete with his wicked Flashback brand, as well as an arena dedicated to oldskool Electro brought to you by Alex Simmons and Graham Dixon. This is going to be another wild ride from the Insomni-fest crew.
