From London to L.A, India to Columbia, Ibiza to Dortmund and Guatemala back to Leeds, the list goes on! 2007 saw Adam Sheridan take his show stopping, genre busting Electronic sound right across the Globe.

At just 24 Adam has achieved so much. His unique performances using Ableton live have left crowds stunned and wanting more: "I love to re edit and re create the music that I play live to suit the crowd. Ableton Live allows me to do this. Using 4 channels on the mixer plus the loop functions on the CDJs I can really twist and surprise the crowd" After building up both a massive Internet & clubland following, Adam has risen to become one of the most sought after electronic artists to emerge from the UK.

Next year will see him release new music on Vandit. Named after Adam's recent trip to Columbia, "Ocaso" will be his first single for Paul Van Dyk's internationally acclaimed label. His own record imprint Soundstage music will also be moving up a gear with "Supernova" being the first release to kick start 2008, this track is already a hot record for a number of big name DJs and a favourite right across the global club scene! Adam will also kick start a brand new night and residency alongside good friends Galaxy Radio presenters Riley & Durrant in his hometown of Leeds. The Electrik Playground will give Adam an opportunity to showcase his trademark genre busting sound to a regular audience: "I am really looking forward to playing in front of the same crowd on a monthly basis, it's something I've never been able to do. I'm also really excited about seeing so many different types of electronic music under one roof"

So with record labels already set up, club nights in the making, performances being heard and talked about all over the world and a brand new radio show starting on Paul Van Dyk's Voync radio, 2008 is looking to be Adams best year to date!

This summer Adam has been out in Ibiza helping run his promotion The Electrik Playground alongside Riley and Durrant while also fitting in his resident at Cream @ Amnesia as well. We caught up with him to get the low down......

Who are you and What do you do?

I'm a DJ and producer. I spend all week in the studio making music, then when it comes to the weekend, I spend my time rocking dancefloors in clubs all over the globe!

What do you think of the dance scene in the UK at the moment ?

I think it's good! There is a massive old skool buzz at the moment. Clubbers seem to be going for more underground parties, in secret locations than they do the commercial nights. As far as the UK based Dance artists and DJs go, I would say they are smashing it. We have some wicked talent over here!!

You currently jetted backwards and forwards from Ibiza. Hows that going and what have your gigs been like?

It's been great and the gigs have been Mind Blowing. I have a residency at Cream/Amnesia. I'm out there 8 times in total this summer. One of the best ones so far was closing the main room after Ferry Corsten. The room was jammed right till the end! I've also made a couple of surprise appearances over the road at Privilige. Mine and my close friends brand "The Elektrik Playground" have been hosting Tiesto's room 2. That also has been amazing. I closed the other week in the Coco Loco room and had all the Local Spanish ravers in going crazy, that was a different, but very good experience for me!!

You help run Electrik Playground alongside Riley & Durrent and Nick Ferguson. Electrik Playground is hosting the back room at Priivilege every week. How is the season going so far?

I've been over to nearly every party, I was only meant to be at 2, but it has been so good I just can't stay away! To be working alongside the likes of Tiesto is a great buzz. They really make us feel part of the set up there, which is really nice. We had a problem on the first week. When we arrived are room didn't have a sound sysytem in there. I was amazed the guys had the room up and running by 1 am. Fair play to the sound team that night, the room sounded amazing and was jumping all night!!

How did Electrik Playground come about?

Me, Nick and Andy always fancied doing something regular in leeds, but with the sound that we spin, there wasn't really anything that suited us. So we decided to get together and create something.

We teamed up with Nick Ferguson who I've worked with in the past at Cream in Ibiza then came up with the name and concept! It' s been a lot of hard work, so I'm glad there is 4 of us, but it has definitely been worth it!

Have you ever had any other dreams? Was your dream to become a DJ or did it come along the way?

I've been spinning in cubs since I was 15 now so yea.. I been chasing this dream for a while. I just enjoy he feeling you get from making people move! I've always been a mad music fanatic right from been young too so I guess this job is suited to me

When you go to clubs - can you enjoy the music or do you have the "professional error" and you are critical to how the other DJ is mixing and playing his set?

I just enjoy the music! If I go to a venue and I'm not DJing You won't find me in the corner stroking my chin! I'll either be on the dancefloor or making a fool out of myself somewhere.

Who are your biggest influences?

Would have to say Underoworld, The Prodigy, Paul Van Dyk and Carl Cox. Those artists were the people that got me into the music that I play and love, and Sasha as well!! All legends!!

Best clubs in the world are ...?

Tough Question. Zouk In Singapore, Amnesia, Space Privilige are all un real. The Arches in Glasgow, the Atmosphere in there is amazing! Reminds me of how the Orbit in Morley used to be and Fabrik in Madrid is Breathtaking as well!!

Where would you like to perform that you haven't yet?

I've heard so many good reports about Argentina!! My management had to cancel 2 shows for me in Buens Aires last year... I was gutted!! I'm definitely going back after the summer in October though so I can't wait. I also heard Brazil is amaing!! So hopepfully I'll make it over there 2!

In Your opion who is the best DJ in the world?

At the moment,... ? In my opinion... I would have to say Carl Cox. I had the pleasure of hearing Dubfire in Columbia back in January as well , he also blew me away!! I think what Tiesto is doing is also amazing and PVD is also a wicked DJ to watch!!

Are there any new genres out there in dance music that we should watch out for?

I think there is a massive cross over happening in EDM at the moment. Producers from their genre are bringing in other elements from different genres. Who knows where it's going to go, it's all exciting stuff at the moment as far as EDM is concerned!

Which song of all songs in the history of music would you mostly like to mix? (If you could pick any of them)

Would love to do that Way out west tune that goes.. "And ooo and the stars.... " Can't think of the name right now. Amazing tune!!!

Do you play any instruments?

Yes I play the Keyboard. Use to play the Violin when I was younger too.

Ever wanted to be in a rock band?

Never crossed my mind to be honest!! I was completely anti rock when I was a teenager, although I find myself liking bands more and more at the moment. There is another element that is been brought into dance music at the moment. Thereis a lot of rock influences!!

Why can people find you playing for the rest of the summer?
I have 3 remaining dates left at Cream Amnesia. I'll be at the closing of the Tiesto Party in the Electrik Playground room. I'll be at Creamfoelds and also the sunrise festival in Poland. There s an underground rave called Kiddstock at a secret location in the North east that I'm also looking forward to!!
