JLS Singer Ortise Williams was shocked by a chance meeting with his idol Stevie Wonder.

The UK boyband singer told how he was discussing his love for the 'Superstition' singer over breakfast in a hotel with bandmates - Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes and Jonathan 'JB' Gill - before they jetted off to the US yesterday (08.04.10) only to walk out and find him there in the lobby.

He wrote on the band's blog: "Me and the boys are at breakfast and debating who's the best solo male singer in the world.

"A few names were brought up, but I said for me it has to 100 per cent be the living legend himself Mr Stevie Wonder, I was insistent on it.

"Check this out! How MAAAAD is this? When we came out of breakfast, Stevie Wonder was sitting down in the lounge (sic).

"I went over real nervous and said, 'Stevie, man you don't understand how you've inspired me', he said, 'all good brother, make sure you call me and stay in touch'."

Ortise added he was so shocked he couldn't help but to go back over to him afterward and grabbed a photo with Aston .

He added: "It's not everyday you get to meet one of your heroes, but today I got to meet mine. That's what you call Magic!"

He also said he would miss the band's UK fans while they are away "for a few weeks".
