James frontman Tim Booth has revealed to BBC 5 Live that the band will open 2016's Glastonbury on Friday 24th June.
The Manchester-born group, who are famed for their singles 'Sit Down', 'Come Home' and 'Laid', will be the first act to play on the Other Stage at 11am. Watch their performance from T In The Park below.
It's tradition for a big band to signal the beginning of the festival - The Kaiser Chiefs and The Charlatans have previously secured the slot.
James join the likes of Adele, Coldplay, Muse, Jess Glynne and PJ Harvey on the Glastonbury line up. More names will be announced over the next few weeks.
