Fresh from an epic political campaign that saw the Labour party hack away at the Conservative's stronghold in the General Election that took place earlier this month, Jeremy Corbyn is set to continue his relationship with "the many not the few" by appearing at this year's Glastonbury Festival.
The Labour Party leader will take to the hallowed Pyramid Stage on Saturday 24th June, where he will appear with the festival's chief Michael Eavis who has described those connected with the festival as "Corbyn fans".
He will introduce fierce rap duo Run The Jewels, whose Killer Mike is more than familiar with backing political campaigns, having supported Bernie Sanders' Democratic leadership campaign last year. At RTJ's recent Field Day performance, which took place before the election, they urged fans to vote for Corbyn, in keeping with their socially aware lyrics and left leaning ethos.
They give UK fans further opportunity to witness them in full flow, with some huge shows penned in later on this year (including a Run The Jewels Manchester appearance), although who knows what the political climate will be like by then.
Corbyn is no stranger to speaking in front of music fans having taken to the stage at Tranmere's Prenton Park to rally young musicians and sports fans at The Libertines Wirral Live show, one of the key moments in his election campaign.
