Legendary folk singer-songwriter Joan Baez is set for a huge UK performance in stunning surroundings as she crosses the Atlantic in the early part of 2019 for a Manchester show.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will come to Bridgewater Hall on Monday 25th February 2019 to deliver a performance that will see Baez work through her immense back catalogue, which spans back some 58 years back to her 1960 self titled debut.
Arguably Baez' best loved song 'The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down' was released in 1971 and was a cover of a 1969 track originally performed by The Band, however Baez' version hit number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and was recently featured in the soundtrack of Oscar winning film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri.
An Evening with Joan Baez will work through all of the above and more, right up to the present day and the release of her 25th studio album, Whistle Down The Wind.
