"On the 29th LIVE in Kirkhill, the first name gets added to the Dunbar Championship Hit Parade. Don't worry guys, i'll let you borrow my sunglasses to stop glare from the lights you'll be staring up at."
When he heard his title would be up for grabs, that was Pride Champion Glen Dunbar's response. Over the years Dunbar has become a very tactical, very strategic... and very sadistic man who we've seen go to the extreme's to keep himself in the spotlight, particularly in his run with SWA's T-Division championship. But whatever you think of him Dunbar is an incredibly skilled wrestler who has proven himself a worthy adversary time and time again.
But his tactics in the ring have made him a few enemies and one of those enemies has him in sight!
Having had run ins with Dunbar in the past, Joe Coffey is his polar opposite. A man who fights with honour and respect, Joe has been a shining light in Scottish wrestling who has fast become one of the biggest stars in the country. With his career skyrocketting, taking him to a record breaking tour of Japan and one of the most sought after wrestlers in the UK.
In a unique David v Goliath match, Glen Dunbar will put his championship on the line against not just a man who's known as one of the countries finest - but a man who's just as intelligent as the champion! Will Dunbar be able to hold onto the title against all odds? Or will Pride be celebrating a new champion on July 29th?
This championship clash joins an already impressive line up including BT Gunn v SRobbie Solar, Bete Noire v Nikki Storm, Lewis Girvan v Dickie Divers as well as the reutn of Mark Coffey and Wrestleshark's David Campbell Thomson!
Pride Wrestling heads to Kirkhill Hall (Cambuslang Parish, 7 Cairns Road, Cambuslang G72 8PX) on Saturday June 29th. Doors open 5:30pm with the show starting at 6pm.
