There's no escaping the fact that Liverpool is nurturing a particularly vibrant clubbing scene at the moment, thanks in many ways to nights like Freeze, who, not merely content with the success of their lauded Greg Wilson Summer Sessions at the fantastic Bombed Out Church venue, set upon tackling an even more ambitious all day party on August 23rd.
Returning after a killer performance back in April, Bedrock mastermind John Digweed (listen to a fragment from his latest mix CD 'Miami' above) arrives back in Merseyside thanks to an online campaign that saw Freeze ask their loyal fanbase which DJs they'd like to see back at the night.
Such was Digweed's impression that an overwhelming band of rave connoisseurs sought to once again secure the DJing skills of the underground legend, who will be heading up the audacious 17 hour day and night spectacular held across two separate, yet to be announced locales.
Joining him will be the services of Iberia's number one DJ and Enter Ibiza resident (alongside Richie Hawtin) Paco Osuna, whose relentless and hypnotic house and techno (witness that above) will perfectly soundtrack the sun descending behind the Liverpool vista.
Freeze crowd favourite Henry Saiz is another of the big hitters gracing the occasion. The multi talented Spaniard will be bringing along with him his full live set up, complete with full band for what will be a breathtaking sonic centrepiece, creating live and direct the kind of summer fueled house vibes that have made his Miami Boat Parties so revered.
Freeze residents Jemmy and original resident Rob Casson round off the announcements thus far for what is shaping up to be one of the Liverpool nights most anticipated shows to date. Get your Freeze tickets here.
