The temperature is rising and with it a whole host of nights are steaming through their weekly residencies across the board of superclubs we have all come to know and love. Whilst these established parties continue to up their game, July also sees some of the most anticipated events re-open their doors for the first time this summer. Let's see exactly what July has to offer.
Video: ENTER preview
Techno heavyweights Richie Hawtin and Carl Cox both return to Space this year, with massive line-ups to boot; Hawtin's ENTER opens on Thursday 4th with sets from newly appointed residents Paco Osuna and Nina Kraviz, and a live performance from Gaiser (look out for fellow Minus-men Matador and Hobo joining the fun on the 25th). Cox is back and bigger than ever this year, opening a week later on Tuesday 9th with Dubfire, Nic Fanciulli and DJ Sneak all playing the occasion, the rest of the month playing host to big names in the business such as Laurent Garnier on the 16th and Marco Carola on the 23rd.
Also at Space, Kehakuma and We Love... continue, the latter spanning eclectic line-ups that cater for all interests. Sunday 7th alone brings an exclusive joint live set from Mathew Jonson and Minilogue on the Terrace, whilst DJ's such as James Zabiela and Hot Chip dominate the main room.
Over at Amnesia, Cocoon remain at the top of their game with some of the biggest names in techno destroying the dance floor week in week out; pencil in Monday 8th as Luciano once again returns to the party with which he has had such a special connection over the years, as he takes over the Terrace with Papa Sven. Marco Carola keeps Music On Fridays alongside guests such as Stacey Pullen and Carlo Lio on the 5th, and on a slightly different note, Cream Ibiza take it to the next level as Calvin Harris begins his summer residency with the night on Thursday 4th.
Day time parties are dominated by Ushuaia where Luciano continues his weekly residency at the hotel (now on a Tuesday) with Reboot taking over the newly built Ushuaia Tower heading his own residency later on in the day. Pete Tong begins his new project on Fridays there with Le Grand Bazzar, showcasing performances from the likes of Pharell Williams at the opening on the 5th and Fatboy Slim the week after.
In Ibiza town, highlights for Pacha include the continuation of Guy Gerber's Wisdom of The Glove on Wednesdays (look out for Cajmere and Magda on the 10th), Insane on Fridays curated by John Digweed, and Solomun + 1 on Sundays, his guests including Miss Kittin, Tensnake (live) and Ame each week respectively. Elsewhere in the town Bomba is set to open this month with residencies from Luciano and Yousef presents Circus, so watch this space for info on line ups.

Last but by no means least, July is certainly an exciting time for Sankeys Ibiza, with Hypercolour (Mondays), Diynamic Neon Nights (Tuesdays) and Flying Circus (Fridays) all beginning their weekly residencies at the club. Solomun's Diynamic was a huge hit last year and will see more of the same this season as H.O.S.H, David August, Stimming and Kollektive Turmstrasse all return as residents. Steve Lawler continues his Viva Warriors on Sundays, this month featuring talent such as Robert Dietz and Steve Bug alongside strong resident Darius Syrossian, whilst Fuse continues to have Wednesdays on lockdown Claude Von Stroke and the Dirtybird crew keep the bass alive on Thursdays.
Off The Balearic Track
Thursday daytime partying doesn't get any better than Loco Dice's Used + Abused. On the 11th July Josh Wink is among the guests joining him, perfect to get you in the mood for ENTER or if you're still going from the night before.
Suggested Activity
To experience something really special take a ferry over to Ibiza's little sister island Formentera. Great for a day trip, the beaches are white and the sea is crystal clear - all round it is the perfect place to relax. What's more, if you go on a Thursday you can round off your day at beach club Tipic where Cocoon hold a weekly residency headlined by different guests each week – what more could you ask for?
As you can see there's a hell of a lot going on this month. But that's not all, head to the Ibiza section to check out all that July has to offer. Happy clubbing!
