Crowned the Best Small Club by DJ Mag, Junk is considered the South Coast's ultimate provider for underground music. December is shaping up to be a big month for the Southampton-based treasure as they welcome a host of house and techno's elite before they say hello to a new year.
Junk's Saturday night line ups have been giving some of the globe's most renowned clubs a run for their money, and if you take a look at what's on offer you'll understand why we feel so spoilt for choice.
Things kick off on Saturday 6th December with a Watergate showcase. Topping the roster is Jackathon queen Heidi. The house maestro never shies from bringing a fully-fledged party with her wherever she goes (check out her mix above). Joining her is a host of other Watergate regulars including Metro and Sebastian Wilck, who are guaranteed represent the Berlin club positively.
The following week Junk get a visit from dynamic techno duo Dense & Pika. The pair made their mark on the scene wholeheartedly with the release of their massive 'Colt' EP on Hotflush. Made up of Hypercolour boss Alex Jones and Chris Spero a.k.a Glimpse, the music that the twosome create together is next level.
Next up on Saturday 27th December is a b2b extravaganza with Eats Everything and James Zabiela. The two heavyweights will play a whopping four hour set. It's going to be a clash of the electronic titans as they bounce between house, techno and everything in between (check out Eats Everything's RA Live set above).
Stepping up on New Year's Eve is Moon Harbour boss and Circoloco favourite Matthias Tanzmann. Expect a set laced with moody, dark and melodic tech house. He'll be joined by Tribal Sessions gatekeeper Darius Syrossian.
