NYC rapper KRS-One has announced details of a UK tour that will take place next year. He will be revisiting tracks from his three decade long career at O2 Academy 2 in Sheffield on Friday 24th May, MK11 in Milton Keynes on Saturday 18th May, 24 Kitchen Street in Liverpool on Tuesday 28th May and The Trinity Centre in Bristol on Tuesday 14th May.
KRS-One established his name as part of Boogie Down Productions, one of the first groups to inspire both gangsta rap and socially conscious rap. Their street real lyrics assured them a place among the legends of 1980s American hip hop, not least for the release of their debut album 'Criminal Minded' in 1987.
KRS-One began releasing music under his own name in 1993 and continued to have success with tracks such as 'Sound Of Da Police', 'MCs Act Like They Don't Know' and 'Step Into A World'. In more recent times, the sometimes outspoken and dedicated rapper has also been known for undertaking public lectures, but the last few years have seen him in a musically productive period; he released the albums 'Now Hear This' in 2015 and 'The World Is MIND' in 2017.
